I had washed some inquiry on-line before deciding to purchase the Cold Steel Kobun Tanto knife. All the reviews were adept and I decided to go ahead and brand the buy. Even so, I was still somewhat skeptical that the pocketknife was as good equally all the reviews said it was, however the price was low and then I idea, "why not". Even if I didn't like the knife, I could all the same pass information technology on to someone as a Christmas gift. I want to say that the Kobun turned out exist a great surprise and was well worth the purchase price. Quality and end of the knife is splendid! The grip is ane of the all-time I have ever held and the factory edge on the blade is very good. The blade is made of stainless steel and took a good edge without much endeavour. Also the knife is rather low-cal weight which is neither good or bad simply would depend on what your purpose for it's use. I would not recommend it as a survival knife to utilize for cutting down copse with. Nevertheless, it would be useful as a conduct knife for hunting. About the only affair I have not made up my mind nearly is the sheath. It's a molded plastic fabric (I believe it's chosen Kydex) which fits the knife beautifully and it has a belt clip. I mostly prefer a leather sheath simply that's personal opinion. The sheath does what it's intended to do and that is to protect the blade and it's possessor. Overall, this knife is one of the dandy values out at that place! I do not have whatsoever regrets purchasing it and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Handle size is detrimental to a practiced pocketknife
The knife is well fabricated but the knife handle is small. I know information technology is supposed to be small but this is really modest. I wouldn't have bought the knife if I had picked it up in a store. Information technology is well made and probably as robust as other Cold Steel products simply information technology doesn't fit my hand at all. The Cold Steel Voyager 40 with a tanto bract was a better choice for me, I accept both only wanted the extra strength of the stock-still blade. Oh well, sometimes you lot win and sometimes you don't.

Great pocketknife for the cost
This is a skilful Tanto bract, it feels very sparse in my hand and light weight. It is non suited a good choice for bushcraft, this is definitely a tactical blade best suited for self defense but information technology tin can serve as a general purpose knife, just exist aware the bract contour doesn't make it the best pick for the things I usually use a knife for. I am very pleased with this pocketknife and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lite Tanto style pocketknife.
